Southern Song/Yuan Dynasty, A.D. 13th Century
of thinly potted upright ovoid form with cylindrical neck rising to a wide mouth with flared lip, applied with a pair of tapering strap handles on the neck and straddling the narrow shoulders, covered inside and out with a very dark brown-black glaze with glossy surface, the knife-cut ring foot and recessed base unglazed revealing the fine gray stoneware fired to a pale buff tone.
