in the form of a leather pouch, the bulging sides gathered at the top in a thick flange pierced with two holes for suspension behind the short upright cylindrical spout with moulded lip, engraved with a "stitched" border along the base of the flange, with more "stitched” lines engraved in long arcs extending down the two broad sides, and applied with raised bands curving down from the top at both ends to meet across the base, simulating reinforced seams on a sewn leather bag, the broad base resting on a thick ring foot, the transparent glaze of creamy yellowish tone, the base unglazed revealing the hard white porcellaneous ware and showing some kiln grit from the firing.
