A ZITAN PICNIC BOX
18th Century
made entirely of carefully chosen zitan timber with a subtle swirling grain, in classic two-tier form with hump-backed carrying handle, beaded edges and fine well-patinated huangtong (yellow brass) mounts.
13 1⁄4 x 8 7⁄8 x 7 1⁄4 inches (33.5 x 22.5 x 18.5 cm)
It is very rare to see a picnic box made of precious zitan timber inside and out.
