Song – Ming Dynasty, 12th-17th Century
the matching vessels following the archaic bronze ding ritual vessel form, each with raised ‘bow string’ bands encircling the rounded sides and elongated loop handles rising from the mouth rim, one cast in bronze showing a smooth dark patina, the other carved from olive green jade showing cloudy alteration of the stone from burial.
