Qianlong - Jiaqing Period, Late 18th-Early 19th Century
deeply carved with a continuous scene of sages and immortals, several gathering lingzhi fungus near a small pavilion with peaked roof, two others standing near a waterfall viewing a handscroll, all in an idealized mountain landscape with gnarled pine and wutong trees growing amidst jagged rocky cliffs rising to drifting clouds beneath the thick rounded rim, the flattened base also carved as rockwork, of cloudy pale greenish white tone with tan mottling throughout.
